Daniel Dee Debuts on Marula Music with "Dreaming Keep"

Marula Music welcomes Daniel Dee with “Dreaming Keep”, out now as a Beatport exclusive. The Rome-based producer makes his label debut with a track built for the late hours, where the crowd has thinned and the floor belongs to the committed.

“Dreaming Keep” opens on a tight, punchy low-end that locks the groove early. From there it layers deliberately, deep haunting synth stabs sitting beneath floating melodic fragments that drift through the arrangement without resolution. There is a tension in the construction, nostalgic in texture but forward in movement, the kind of track that pulls you in before you realise it’s happening. A 3am record. Headphones or a decent soundsystem, both reward the listen.

Daniel Dee brings a career that stretches back to Rome’s golden era of progressive trance. He began DJing at 15 as one of the youngest residents at the NRG Club in Ciampino, home to one of Italy’s most influential progressive-trance Sunday nights. From there: a regular slot on Future Zone (Mondo Radio), original productions on Bonzai Records, and a sound that has steadily refined toward melodic techno and progressive house. “Dreaming Keep” is the natural result of that trajectory, a debut that feels considered rather than rushed.

The track drew early support from Super8 & Tab, Ruben de Ronde, Suzy Solar, and Blake Jarrell ahead of release.
