Daniel Dee Joins Marula Music: Debut Single 'Dreaming Keep' Out 27 March

Marula Music hasn't sign a lot of new artists in the past, but we're thrilled to be welcoming Daniel Dee to the stable with his debut single on Marula Music, 'Dreaming Keep'. The label has always been about a certain sound, a certain feeling — progressive house and trance that actually goes somewhere, that builds with intention rather than just following a template.

About the Track

It's a progressive house track with real depth to it, the kind of arrangement that rewards patience. The main lead sits right on the edge of familiar and surprising; you think you know where it's going and then it opens up somewhere else. The mixdown is clean, the low-end is handled well, and there's a melodic intelligence to how the elements develop across the runtime that you don't often hear in debut material. The craft in 'Dreaming Keep' is the result of time spent working on the fundamentals, and it shows. Beyond the production quality, what stands out is the restraint. Nothing is over-explained.
